چکیده: 

An Nd doped ZnO (1-5%) photocatalyst was successfully synthesized via chemical co-precipitation method. The optical property, nature, and morphology of the synthesized nanoparticles were analyzed by UV-Visible, XRD, and FESEM respectively. XRD study reveals that Nd has been effectively incorporated in the ZnO lattice in the lower level dosage; however the crystalline nature has been distorted towards the increase in the Nd. The selected brilliant green dye was degraded photo-catalytically with the help of the synthesized nanoparticles and the study has been extended with catalyst dosage and dye concentration. The 2% Nd-doped ZnO showed a remarkable result of 98.26% degradation of brilliant green dye compared to the other 1, 3, 4 & 5 %Nddoped ZnO nanoparticles which clearly indicates the optimization of depletion region corresponding to the maximum degradation. The increased content (3-5%) of Nd-doped ZnO exhibited moderate photocatalytic degradation of the dye due to the decreased crystalline nature which was further evidenced from XRD studies.

Brilliant blue is largely found in ice cream, canned processed peas, packet soups, blue raspberry flavored products, dairy products, sweets and drinks. It is also used in soaps, shampoos, mouthwash and other hygiene and cosmetics applications (Archived from Florida). This study was aimed to investigate the antimicrobial effects of Brilliant blue on Bacillus subtilis as a gram positive bacterial strain and Pseudomonas aeruginosa as a gram negative bacterial strain with MIC, MBC, and disk diffusion assay. MIC values of Brilliant blue against Bacillus subtilis was 5μ g/ml, and MBC values was 60 μ g/ml and MIC values of Brilliant blue against Pseudomonas aeruginosa are 10 μ g/ml, and MBC values was 80  g/ mL. In this study Brilliant blue had only a bacteriostatic effect on two bacterial strains. The result of disk diffusion assay showed that Brilliant blue (0. 625, 1. 25, and 1. 875 μ g) has not antimicrobial activity against Bacillus subtilis and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. It can be concluded that Brilliant blue might not pose a potential risk for our bacterial flora. However, it must be evaluated with different new studies.

Brilliant blue 0.05% and trypan blue 0.1% were mixed in a proportion of 1:1 in a 1-mL syringe. This combination produced a waterfall effect with the fast sinking of the dye to the posterior pole and little diffusion through the vitreous cavity. Therefore, it can effectively stain the internal limiting membrane and the epiretinal membrane with a good contrast during surgeries for a macular hole, myopic foveoschisis, and macular pucker.

The modification of carbon from Nut shell was done via carbonization at 500 °C and activated under acidic conditions with H3PO4. Thus, Nutshell (NS) and chemically activated carbon utilizing acid H3PO4, the biochar surface will be referred to as NS-H3P will exhibit comparable capacity in removing BB dye compared to commercial activated carbon (CAC). The NS-H3P adsorbent has been characterized by field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), and transmission electron microscope (TEM). Effect of several factors like equilibrium time (5-60 min), the weight of adsorbent (0.01-0.08 g), the concentration of dye (10 -50 mg/L), pH solution (2.8-10.3), and solution of temperature (10-45 oC) were investigated. The equilibrium result tends to fit best with isotherm Freundlich than isotherm Langmuir. The isotherm Freundlich model with a high R2 was utilized to describe multi-layer adsorption. Desorption of dye studies was performed with NaOH, HCl, and H2O. Computational modeling was performed to obtain deeper mechanistic insights on the adsorption behavior of the BB dye molecules onto (002) sheet of Biochar. This modeling section includes Monte Carlo space exploration for the lowest adsorption energy configurations of the BB dye molecule on the Biochar surface. The process included an adsorption locator calculations module.

Titan Yellow and Brilliant Green dyes were adsorbing to cement kiln dust (CKD) in this work by adjusting factors including contact time, dye concentration, adsorbent dose, pH, and different temperatures at (25, 35, 45, and 55 °C) and isotherms of adsorption. Freundlich, Langmuir, and Temkin adsorption isotherm equations were all examined. Between the Langmuir and Temkin isotherms, the equilibrium adsorption data were fitted Thermodynamic parameters ΔG, ΔH, and ΔS were calculated and the results indicated that the adsorption process on CKD was exothermic and non-spontaneous in Brilliant dye, but endothermic and spontaneous in Titan Yellow. It was also observed that adsorption was height at pH=2 for Titan dye and height at pH=8 for Brilliant dye.

DYES HAVE BEEN EXTENSIVELY USED IN INDUSTRIES, SUCH AS TEXTILE, PAPER, PRINTING, COSMETICS, PLASTICS AND RUBBER, FOR THE COLORATION OF PRODUCTS [1, 2]. THE DISCHARGE OF COLORED WASTE IS NOT ONLY DAMAGING THE AESTHETIC NATURE OF RECEIVING STREAMS, BUT ALSO IS TOXIC TO THE AQUATIC LIFE [2]. POLYANILINE (PAN) IS A CONDUCTING POLYMER THAT CAN BE EASILY SYNTHESIZED CHEMICALLY FROM BRONSTED ACIDIC AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS [3, 4]. THE REMOVAL DYE FROM THE WASTEWATER, BEFORE INTERRING RIVERS, IS VERY IMPORTANT. FOR TREATMENT OF THE ADSORPTION DATA, BOTH LANGMUIR AND FREUNDLICH ISOTHERM WERE EMPLOYED, THEREFORE BRILLIANT BLUE (BB) AS A TYPICAL BASIC DYE WAS SELECTED AS A TEST PROBE [4]. IN THIS RESEARCH, NANO COMPOSITE OF POLYANILINE HAZELNUT WASTE (TERMED AS PAN/HN) WAS PREPARED VIA CHEMICAL POLYMERIZATION OF ANILINE ON THE SURFACE OF HAZELNUT WASTE FOR ADSORPTION BB FROM AQUEOUS SOLUTION. THE STUDIES OF ADSORPTION WERE STUDIED BY USING LANGMUIR, FREUNDLICH EQUATIONS. THE RESULTS SHOWED THAT PAN/HN WAS A GOOD ADSORPTION FOR REMOVAL OF BRILLIANT BLUE. FINALLY, ADSORPTION OF BB ON THE SURFACE OF HAZELNUT WASTE COATED WITH PAN/HN WAS SHOWED BY USING SCANNING ELECTRON MICROSCOPY (SEM) IMAGES.

DYE AND DYE STUFFS ARE EXTENSIVELY USED IN VARIOUS AREAS SUCH AS TEXTILE, PLASTIC, FOOD, COSMETIC, CARPET AND PAPER INDUSTRIES. WASTEWATERS OF THESE INDUSTRIES CONTAIN DYE WITH METALS, SALTS, AND OTHER CHEMICALS WHICH MAY BE TOXIC TO AQUATIC ENVIRONMENT. HENCE, THE PRESENCE OF DYES IN WASTEWATERS IS A MAJOR ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEM AS THEY ARE GENERALLY RESISTANT TO DEGRADATION BY BIOLOGICAL TREATMENT METHODS [1]. MAGNETIC NANOPARTICLE OF FE3O4 WAS USED FOR ADSORPTION OF BRILLIANT GREEN FROM AQUEOUS SOLUTION. THE MEAN SIZE AND THE SURFACE MORPHOLOGY OF THE NANOPARTICLES WERE CHARACTERIZED BY TEM AND XRD TECHNIQUES. ADSORPTION STUDIES OF BRILLIANT GREEN WERE PERFORMED UNDER DIFFERENT EXPERIMENTAL CONDITIONS, SUCH AS NANOPARTICLES AMOUNT, DYE CONCENTRATION, PH OF THE SOLUTION, IONIC STRENGTH, AND CONTACT TIME. EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS INDICATED THAT FE3O4 HAD ADSORBED MORE THAN 96% OF DYE UNDER OPTIMUM CONDITION. THE ISOTHERM EVALUATIONS REVEALED THAT THE LANGMUIR MODEL ATTAINED BETTER FITS TO THE EQUILIBRIUM DATA THAN FREUNDLICH MODEL. MAXIMUM ADSORPTION CAPACITY OF FE3O4 NANOPARTICLES WAS 117.6 MG G-1. THE APPLICABILITY OF TWO KINETIC MODELS INCLUDING PSEUDO-FIRST ORDER AND PSEUDO-SECOND ORDER MODELS WAS ESTIMATED. ADSORPTION PROCESS FOLLOWS TO PSEUDO-SECOND-ORDER KINETIC MODEL. ADSORPTION PROCESS WAS EXOTHERMIC. THE CHANGES OF ENTHALPY (DH) WAS DETERMINED TO BE -483.04 KJ MOL-1.THE CALCULATED VALUES OF DG AT STUDIED TEMPERATURES INDICATE THAT THE ADSORPTION PROCESS IS SPONTANEOUS [2]. THE DYE WAS DESORBED FROM NANOPARTICLES BY ALKALINE SOLUTION OF 1 MOL L-1 OF NACL AND ADSORBENT WAS REUSED.

آزولا امروزه به معضلی در زیستگاه های آبی تبدیل شده است. هم چنین وجود رنگ ها در آب و پساب حاصل از صنایع باعث آلودگی آب ها می شود. در این تحقیق، کاربرد آزولای اصلاح سطح شده با نانوذرات مگنتیت (Fe3O4) به عنوان جاذب طبیعی در حذف رنگزای بریلیانت-آبی بررسی شد. اندازه و ساختار نانو ذرات به وسیله SEM و FT–IR مورد بررسی قرار گرفت و اندازه ذرات کمتر از 40 نانومتر گزارش شد. متغیرهای مؤثر بر حذف رنگ شامل pH محلول، قدرت یونی، وزن جاذب، زمان هم زدن و حجم محلول بهینه گردید. سینتیک جذب رنگزای بریلیانت-آبی بر روی آزولای اصلاح سطح شده با نانوذرات مغناطیسی نشان داد از سینتیک شبه مرتبه دوم تبعیت می کند که نشان گر جذب شیمیایی رنگزای بریلیانت آبی بر روی نانوذرات مغناطیسی می باشد. بر اساس ایزوترم های جذبی، فرآیند جذب از ایزوترم جذبی فرندلیچ تبعیت می نماید. با استفاده از پودر آزولای اصلاح سطح شده با نانوذرات مگنتیت، حذف رنگزای بریلیانت آبی با کارآیی بالا و طی زمان بسیار کوتاهی انجام می گیرد که این مزیت ها امکان استفاده از این ذرات را در تصفیه محلول های حاوی رنگ میسر می سازد.

در این مطالعه امکان پذیری استفاده از ساقه میوه آلبالو به عنوان جاذب در دسترس ارزان قیمت برای جذب رنگ بریلیانت گرین از محلول آبی مورد بررسی قرار گرفت. مطالعه جذب در یک فرآیند ناپیوسته با بررسی تاثیر پارامترهای pH، زمان تماس، غلظت رنگزا، مقدار جاذب و دما انجام شد. بیشترین مقدار حذف در 7=pH مشاهده شد. داده های تعادلی توسط ایزوترم های فروندلیچ، لانگمیر و تمکین ارزیابی شدند. ظرفیت جذب ماکزیمم mg/g32/9 بدست آمد. مدل سینتیکی شبه درجه دوم بهترین مدل شناخته شد. پارامترهای ترمودینامیکی مانند تغییرات انرژی آزاد استاندارد گیبس (〖 ∆ G〗 ^0)، تغییرات آنتالپی استاندارد (〖 ∆ H〗 ^0) و تغییرات آنتروپی استاندارد (〖 ∆ S〗 ^0) اندازه گیری شدند و طبیعت فرآیند جذب پیش بینی شد.
